There’s always a time for everything, including things that may seem quite mystifying and eye-catching. IFC and Shudder’s next outing with Forbidden Fruits looks to invite audiences into a particularly bloody and messy season with some new things.
Today, IFC and Shudder released some new character posters for their upcoming horror film, Forbidden Fruits. Starring Lili Reinhart and Lola Tung, this film puts viewers into a close conflict of differing beliefs, lifestyles, and relationships between the leader and the new girl.
Revolving around a cult of gossip and conformity in the basement of the mall shop, there are some things to dissect from what’s presented in the teaser trailer, as well as these new character posters.
Reinhart will play the cult’s leader, Apple, who wants to have control over the other characters. To counter this, Tung’s Pumpkin will attempt to stop her in her tracks in order to bring some new peace to this eccentric group.
In between them both are two others, Fig and Cherry, who seem conflicted about who’s more trustworthy to lead their group. Fig is played by Alexandra Shipp, and Cherry is played by Victoria Pedretti.

Forbidden Fruits will be directed by Meredith Alloway and written by Alloway and Lily Houghton. The film will be directed by Mason Novick, Diablo Cody, Trent Hubbard, and Mary Anne Waterhouse.
