The much-anticipated return of Outlander will see Jamie and Young Ian racing to rescue Claire before she can be convicted for the murder of Malva Christie.

In the sneak peek clip below, Claire has been imprisoned and is learning what her stay will be like in this place that was once, apparently, a slaughterhouse.

She meets Mrs. Tolliver, who tells her she’ll get one meal each day unless she wishes to pay for more. In fact, it seems money could go a long way there.

Claire also asks if Mrs. Tolliver would get word to her family, which she says she cannot do.

Meanwhile, Claire’s jailmate recognizes the name “Fraser” and asks Claire if she’s the “murderess.” Word travels fast, it seems.

Following the harrowing events of Season 6, Jamie and Young Ian race to rescue Claire before she’s tried and wrongfully convicted for the murder of Malva Christie. But their mission is complicated by the beginning of a geopolitical firestorm: The American Revolution has arrived.
