Fiction becomes fact in the wildest way possible in the upcoming spy thriller, Argylle.
The film follows Elly Conway (Bryce Dallas Howard), the reclusive author of a series of best-selling espionage novels that center on secret agent Argylle and his mission to unravel a global spy syndicate.
Elly’s idea of a good time is spending a night at home with her computer and her cat, Alfie. However, when the plots of her fictional novels begin to mirror the covert actions of a real-life spy organization, those quiet evenings at home become a thing of the past.
Aidan (Sam Rockwell), a spy with a cat allergy, shows up to save her. Together, they race across the world — with Alfie in Elly’s backpack — to stay one step ahead of the killers.
Argylle is one of the year’s most anticipated films and is planned to be the first of at least three films in the franchise. It’s inspired by the recently released book, Argylle: A Novel, by Elly Conway.
Argylle also stars Henry Cavill, John Cena, Ariana DeBose, Dua Lipa, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, Sofia Boutella, and Samuel L. Jackson.
Alfie is played by Chip, the real-life cat of supermodel Claudia Vaughn (née Schiffer).
