What happens when you mix the brutality of the action genre with the world of dancing into a single film? For audiences who might be looking for something to feast their eyes on, Amazon MGM’s Pretty Lethal seems to be the result of that.
Prime Video released the official trailer for Pretty Lethal, which will make its debut at SXSW 2026. Following this premiere, the high-flying action-thriller will make its way to streaming on Wednesday, March 25.
Although there were previous teasers highlighting what viewers might expect, the official trailer finally reveals more about the hunt these dancers have to face.

Pretty Lethal‘s official trailer sees a group of ballerinas, Zoe, Bones, Chloe, Princess, and Grace, preparing for the biggest international competition of their lives. While they have trained for this very moment, their travels seem to go awry when their bus breaks down.
Eventually coming across this run-down roadside inn, the group unknowingly finds themselves sheltered by Devora Kasimer, a former ballet prodigy. However, this adequate hospice isn’t everything as it seems, as it’s revealed that Devora’s jealousy can be very deadly.
What’s seen continuously in the trailer is multiple hard-hitting action sequences involving the ballerinas and Devora’s hired guns. Utilizing the dance skills they’ve gained in training, these girls do what they can to fight back, whether that be knife-kicking, lunging, or much more.
While they may be fighting together, Pretty Lethal will also see this team unraveling at the seams, mentally and emotionally, according to the film’s synopsis.
“The fractured team must set aside rivalries and weaponize years of brutal training, turning grace, discipline, and even pointe shoes into tools for survival,” the film’s official synopsis reads.

“In Pretty Lethal, I wanted to bring the highly specific skillset of a ballerina to the action space,” director Vicky Jewson says in a statement for the film. “We created a world built on the broken dreams of a dancer, played by the iconic Uma Thurman.”
“This world and our incredible young cast gave me the freedom to swing between horror, comedy, and action to create a breathless rollercoaster ride. The troupe embraces teamwork, sisterhood, and ballet-fu in order to stay alive.”
Pretty Lethal‘s cast includes Iris Apatow, Lana Condor, Millicent Simmonds, Avantika, Maddie Ziegler, Michael Culkin, Lydia Leonard, and Uma Thurman. Jewson directs with a script written by Kate Freund.
