The Magic Faraway Tree arrives exclusively in theaters on August 21, 2026 through Vertical Entertainment.

The film marks the first major live-action adaptation of Enid Blyton’s beloved fantasy novels, which were originally published between 1939 and 1951 and have enchanted generations of young readers around the world.


Story and Setting

The story follows Polly (Claire Foy), Tim (Andrew Garfield), and their three children after they relocate to the English countryside in search of a fresh start.

While exploring the nearby woods, the children discover the legendary Magic Faraway Tree, home to a collection of eccentric residents including Moonface, Silky, Dame Washalot, and Saucepan Man. At the top of the tree lies a gateway to ever-changing magical lands filled with wonder, danger, and imagination.

As the family’s adventures grow increasingly extraordinary, they begin reconnecting with one another in ways they never expected.
