Do you like senseless violence? Is Queer coming-of-age comedies your jam? Well then, Bottoms is the teen chaos comedy for you.
From the producers of Pitch Perfect and Cocaine Bear (a compelling combination), the bonkers concept follows Josie (Ayo Edebiri) and PJ’s (Rachel Sennott) “loser” teen lesbians who can’t catch a break, let alone a hot cheerleader.
Additionally, as the laughingstock of the school, they want to take back the power from the popular kids and lose their virginities before college. So, when jock superstars Jeff (Nicholas Galitzine, fresh off his reign in Red, White, and Royal Blue) and Tim (Miles Fowler) take their terrorizing of the female student body too far, the girls hatch a ploy to start a fight club to teach students self-defense.
Of course, Josie and PJ have their selfish motives. They want to get laid, and this fight club could get the adrenaline pumping in their direction.
Edebiri and Sennott have made their mark on the industry with intense hilarity in projects like The Bear and Bodies Bodies Bodies. Finally, they are combining forces for what is hopefully a refreshingly bonkers R Rated comedy filled with spraying blood, slicing satire, and a lot of women punching each other in the face.
