The next re-recorded album from Taylor Swift is coming soon. Taylor Swift announced during her concert on August 9th that 1989 (Taylor’s Version) will be available on October 27th.

“Since I was a teenager, I wanted to own my music. And the way to do it was to re-record my albums and call them Taylor’s Version.’ The way you have embraced that and the way that you have celebrated that, you really decided that it was your fight too and that you were one hundred percent behind me, and that if I cared about it, you cared about it. I will never stop thanking you for that,” Swift stated.

“And so now here we are, on the last night of the U.S. leg of The Eras Tour, on the eighth month of the year, on the ninth day of this month,” she hinted.

“You might have noticed there are some new outfits in the show,” Swift added, noting that she was wearing several new outfits that evening, all of which were blue. This was yet another clue about what was to come, considering the color associated with the 1989 album.

“There’s something that I’ve been planning for a really, really, really ridiculously, embarrassingly long time. And I think instead of just telling you about it, I think I’ll just show you something,” Swift continued. Fans went wild as she then revealed the artwork and date announcement for the re-recording of 1989.

Swift also posted the news on social media that evening.

“Surprise!! 1989 (Taylor’s Version) is on its way to you [soon]!” Swift stated. “The 1989 album changed my life in countless ways, and it fills me with such excitement to announce that my version of it will be out October 27th.”
